Chicago Blackhawks Tickets – Hawks Squawk To A Second Loss Before Break

The loss to St. Louis wasn’t just a loss, it was a clean sweep with St. Louis taking home 2 points and not allowing the Hawks to score at all. Of course, the Hawks don’t have to walk away angry with their holdings on 10th place in the league with 25 wins, 12 losses and 8 OTs. Moreover, the Hawks have fourth place nicely situated for themselves with San Jose, Detroit and Calgary ahead in the western conference where the Hawks have 58 points.

The active roster certainly isn’t marred by injured players on reserve. Active team forwards include Craig Adams, Dave Bolland, Troy Brouwer, Adam Burish, Dustin Byfuglien, Ben Eager, Colin Fraser, Martin Havlat, Patrick Kane, Andrew Ladd, Patrick Sharp, Jonathan Towes, and Kris Versteeg. Active team defensemen include Cam Barker, Brian Campbell, Nklas Hialmarsson, Aaron Johnson, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Brent Sopel, Matt Walker and James Wiesniewski. Guarding the goals are active goalies Cristobal Huet and Nikolai Khabibulin.

In support of this young team of eager players is a great team of coaches led by head coach Joel Quenneville, assistant coach John Torchetti, assistant coach Mike Haviland, assistant coach Marc Bergevin, goaltending coach Stephane Waite, strengthening and conditioning coach Paul Goodman, video coach Brad Aldrich and skating coach Paul Vincent. Additional support and training is provided by head athletic coach Mike Gapski, equipment manager Troy Parchman, massage therapist Pawel Prylinski, assistant athletic trainer Jeff Thomas, assistant equipment manager Russ Holden and equipment assistant Clinton Reif. And no team would be complete with a quality medical staff. The Hawks have head team physician Michael Terry, team physicians for orthopedics Sherwin Lo and Martin Leland, team physicians of internal medicine William Harper and Ari Levy along with Todd Stern, team dentists Russ Baer and Anthony Lavacca and Martin Marcus as well as eye doctor Louis Sclafani.

Although the Hawks took a loss at the last game, three games remain for the month of January where the Hawks will play against the Ducks, Kings and Sharks in away games. During February, the Hawks will again play away games for most of the month with trips to the ice as the visitor in games against the Oilers, Flames, Canucks, Thrashers, Blues, Lightning, panthers, Stars and Predators. The balance of games for the month of February will be played at home where the Hawks will host the Stars, Wild and Penguin on their own ice. For the month of March, more games will be at home than abroad with the Hawks hosting games against the Kings, Ducks, Avalanche, Hurricanes, Blue Jackets, Islanders, Oilers, Kings again, Sharks, Devils and Canucks. Not that the Hawks would stir too much at home but away games for March include the Bruins, Devils and Canadiens.

April away games for the Hawks are against the Blue Jackets and the Blackhawks. Home games will be against the Blue, Predators, Blue Jackets and a final game on Sunday, April 12 against the Red Wings.
